We know how to dynamically remove a CPOWN volume (DRAIN, DETACH) -- but we'd like to free up the slot as well - and I'm not seeing any (obvious) way to do that. Do we have to wait until the next IPL?
We already know not to move SPOOL slots around, etc -- just looking to see if a slot can be freed without an IPL. Thanks for any assistance! Scott Rohling
