Suggest looking at the first few bytes of the files that say something about F 1024 (I assume you meant 1024, not 1028), see if they look COPYFILE (PACKed. Yes, I realize TERSEing is "better" but this is just a diagnostic). If it's PACKed it'll have an F or a V in column 4). If so, that's a start. P.S. For those who don't know Richard, he's been doing this a VERY long time. If he's confused, something's messed up.
