Root can open a display (this is on my laptop). However, I'll move the
files to another account and try it from there.
Re: "make check"
The instructions say to do this before install, hence the daemon would not
be running. Attempting to run "ibus-setup" exits with another error on
install, but I'll redo the whole install, run "make install check," and
post results here.
