I really wish this is corrected as well. I like using pinyin because I do not have to learn another keyboard layout, but I am only versed in Traditional Chinese and it really irks me when I cannot find the correct traditional character. Typing "着" is especially annoying because "著" is not even on the list of matched characters, and I find myself switching to ibus-chewing for this one character just to get it right.
ibus-chewing works well in this regard since it is made for Traditional Chinese, but technically I have lots of problems with it, like the pre-edit buffer not getting cleared automatically, cannot go back and edit a phrase, and I find ibus-pinyin's input style allows for a more fluid input experience. So I would really like better traditional Chinese support in ibus-pinyin.
