I don't understand your problem since I'm not a Hangul user.
What key sequences did you try to type on keyboard ASCII?
The output "ㅇㅏㄴㄴㅕㅇ" is the problem?
My understanding is the expected output is "안녕".
Did you see the same problem with gedit?
