Ubuntu 14.04, sorry about that.
Hangul can have several characters in one glyph - I.E. ㅇ ㅏ ㄴ combines ->
안. The rules are easily searchable - however, except for the above listed
conditions, this does not happen and i can only type individual Hangul
letters, not combined glyphs.
I'll check gedit when I use the computer with Linux on it again - should be
early tomorrow.
