I replaced the Seaward HillerRange which came with my boat and which used
compressed natural gas. The CNG was stored in a tank about the size of a
scuba tank in the aft locker, probably the worst place you could put extra
weight. Also, I could not buy CNG in Louisville. I bought an Origo 3000
which I love. I bought it from Swego but it was actually shipped from
Dometic Corporation. The price was $319.45 including shipping last July.

It is slightly smaller than the Seaward but I was able to make it fit fine.
The wood cutting board still fits just fine over the top of it. I can get
you pictures and dimensions in a few days if you wish.

BTW, I still have the Seaward CNG range. I works fine and It's available
for the cost of shipping. I don't think any company would let me ship the
tank. It was last certified in 1991 which is another reason I didn't want
to put 3000psi of gas in it before having it re-certified.

Subject: [IC27A] alcohol stove

I've come to the conclusion that my Seaward Princess 2 burner alcohol stove
is past it. Looks like replacing it is going to be more difficult and/or
more expensive than I would have imagined. What alternatives are there? I am
going to have to replace the counter top so I suppose I could make a
different size opening for a different size stove if that makes any sense. I
am keeping my eye out on e-bay. Any tips?
