Steve,

I have no knowledge of the Cookmate, but it sure looks like the same unit as
the ORIGO.
You might think of the One burner model. I seldom use both burners at the same
time on mine.
I've had an Origo for years and like it a lot.

IMHO, you DON'T need the Gimble. How many times is someone going to cook while
moving ?

I simply removed the Stainless Steel liner and set two screws Through the ORIGO
into the cabinet below. The solid mount works for me.

Without the gimbles, and with the stove slightly offset, there is room for a
small utensil holder in the space between.
I removed the liner so I could put a custom made cutting board over the top..
If I had to do it over again.. I would NOT remove the liner and I'd redesign
the cutting board.
Without the SS liner, a heat shield should be put between the stove and the
cabinet bulkhead.

Don't be put off by the argument between Gas and Alcohol..about how fast Water
boils. The difference is only a couple of minutes.
And if you love coffee, and you want it quickly...... Try a French press rather
than a percolator..

The only negative with the ORIGO (and it's a minor one).. Filling the
canisters is a bit of a pain in the butt. Best done in the cockpit because
there is the possibility of splash and spill..

I looked at the Orego on swego.com. It looks nice and a lot less expensive
than a Priness. But what about the CookMate? It looks a lot like the Orego
($319) but is only $199.95. Where did they cut corners? Thanks for all the
great tips.
