Less weight. Less moving parts to break down. Less smell. Is very green, coast guard approved, and you need one less hole below the waterline. I haven't changed mine out yet, but I've done a lot of reading and for little cruiser\racer they are perfect. Airhead is the one that got my attention but there are a few to choose from with different price ranges and features, well differing designs. -Ivan Sent from my BlackBerry® smartphone with Nextel Direct Connect From: "dnederhood" Date: Tue, 21 Apr 2009 10:13:32 -0000 To: <[email protected]> Subject: [IC27A] Catalina 27 head replacement I will be replacing the head in my 1984 and am looking at the Jabsco manual compact head (twist and lock), manufacturer #290 90 - 3000 at West Marine.
