I suppose like many of you I am in the throes of a through spring cleaning.
The bottom is painted and hull buffed. But the most dreaded task of all for
me is ridding the boat of mildew. Each year I drag out the spray stuff that
smells like concentrated Chlorine and you need a gas mask to breathe
anywhere near by. And if you spill a drop on your clothes you can trash
those when done. But this year when I was shopping for some needed hardware
at my local West Marine store I noticed they had a special on their new
signature product, "Pure Oceans Mildew Stain Remover". I bought a bottle.
This stuff is biodegradable and contains NO Chlorine and does not smell bad
or stain clothes. The real amazing part is, you spray it on and wipe off
the mildew with a paper towel! This is easier than cleaning a window.
Their non skid deck cleaner works almost as well. I am genially impressed.
I have no connection to West Marine or these products but I wish I did.
