The 13V comment is for "Gel Batteries" not AGM's. You will find that
most any marine battery charger will have at least two charge selections
Gel and Flooded. AGM's normally use the flooded position. I see that in
2009, many (maybe all) chargers in WM have an AGM position.

Take a look at 2009 WM page 259, you will note that AGM's have the
highest charge voltage, 14.7, followed by flooded at 14.6, the Gel at 14.1.

Looking at 2009 WM page 252, AGM has best charge acceptance and 3%
self-discharge rate. Deep cycle flooded have a 6% self-discharge rate.

If your only charging with the engine, the AGM's will do the best, they
will accept more of the charge and self-discharge at a slower rate.

As far as starting the engine. I found that my 85 C27 had bad factory
crimps on ALLl of the #4 battery wires. The bad crimps caused too much
voltage loss to start with one battery. Replacing the #4 terminals with
properly crimped terminals fixed the problem.

Also, AGM's are a little better starting battery then flooded deep cycle
batteries.
