Folks:

    One thing that was not addressed in this post is galvanic corrosion. 
There are many different stainless steel and aluminum alloys, and if 
these are in contact with one another, you may get the metals to corrode 
each other. My suggestion could be larger stainless steel washers ground 
down flat on two sides in oder to fit, or stainless blocks instead of 
aluminum. You could also have a nylon sleeve and washer to separate the 
two dissimilar metals. With many of our members around/in salt water, 
this could present a problem.
