While I would be completely in support of having the approval step in place it is important that those approvals are timely. I know that I had some burning questions to get answered when I first joined the group and I joined this group and another Catalina related group and since I got into this one faster I was able to immediately benefit from the archives and the group without waiting. The other group took a few days to approve me which was a bummer. It also seems like this is something that, in my time here, which is admittedly limited, has happened only once. If it happens a lot then we should clearly do something about it. All that said, whatever you do is totally fine.
