As far as I know, mast gates are always either hand made custom or after market.

I have a standard rig, sail#821, with an extruded slot in the mast. The sail slides are 5/8" and the other slides pass the gate with no difficulty, but there are different slides on the ends of the full battens, which are prevented from passing through the gate because they have a foot surface outside the slot as well as inside (the others have only the attaching loop protruding from the slot).
