Hi Victoria,
Welcome to the group. Traditionally Catalina Yachts keeps the molds and patterns on hand to make all the original parts. That includes making cushions, various hatches, bulkheads, and interior pieces. You can check with CY customer Service to see what they can do and how much it will cost. Sometimes the local guys can't even come close to the factor cost so it's worth checking into. http://www.catalinayachts.com/contactus.cfm Phil Agur <http://www.catalina27.org/public_pages/profile270.htm> s/v Wing Tip C270 LE #184 MMSI 366901790 -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Victoria Bayly Sent: Monday, October 26, 2009 2:57 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [IC27A] Re: New owner needing advice Thanks but they changed in 88 and we have an 82.Thanks anyway! --- On Sun, 10/25/09, Bill Keaveney <compu...@pacific. <mailto:computer%40pacific.net> net> wrote: From: Bill Keaveney <compu...@pacific. <mailto:computer%40pacific.net> net> Subject: RE: [IC27A] Re: New owner needing advice To: ic...@yahoogroups. <mailto:IC27A%40yahoogroups.com> com Date: Sunday, October 25, 2009, 11:11 PM Ebay is currently listing a hatch for a 1988 Catalina 27 for $50.00 plus shipping! It is the trapezoidal deck hatch forward of the mast. I see at CatalinaOwner. com they have an original but it is $ 600 so I was trying to find alternatives. I was hoping maybe someone else had to replace theirs and had suggestions. --- On Sun, 10/25/09, RobAdkins <robadk...@lifetalef ilms.com> wrote: From: RobAdkins <robadk...@lifetalef ilms.com> Subject: [IC27A] Re: New owner needing advice To: ic...@yahoogroups. com Date: Sunday, October 25, 2009, 10:16 PM vicki, to which hatch are you referring? possibly fixed with new rubber seal or something of that nature without a replacement. -rob --- In ic...@yahoogroups. com, "VickiB" <offmgr...@. ..> wrote: > > We just bought a 1982 and we are starting our list of things to do to her. My first ( I am sure of many to come ) concern is the hatch. It has a leak and we need to replace it. Any ideas who would be the best place to get one? Also, we live in the DC metro area and I want to get new cushions made. Any suggestions without breaking the bank? > Thanks! > Vicki > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
