Some of it may depend on how you're creating the message. For instance, if you 'reply by e-mail', and are using an e-mail account other than that which is registered in your Yahoo! profile, I think the system will reject the message (and may or may-not let you know about the rejection!...).
I've had similar problems with other Yahoo!Groups. The worst part is that I've been unable to find an authoritative source of help or knowledge. But, when it's working, it's good!
