Sandusky, southern part of Lake Erie. I use the heavier tarp from Lowes - about $100. I also lace ropes back and forth between the stanchions from the life lines - tightly. One modification that I may make in the future is to raise the mast up another foot or two, on higher wood mounts. That will give the tarp a greater slope from the mast over the lifelines. Bob
