Thanks - it was not Le Tonkinois. I am familiar with it and it is the
favorite of one of the Captains of the replica Hudson River ferry sloop "Woody
Guthrie". I am not as enamored of it as he is and somewhat of the opinion of
your colleagues. Yes, it is easy to apply and does a credible job.
Cheers,
John

John,

You may be referring to .. Le Tonkinois
http://www.letonkinois.net/english/tonkinois_caracteristics.htm

It is expensive and supposedly is easy to apply... I've not tried it, but
friends have.

Touted to be the "end all" of boat varnish....I have two friends that Paid the
high price for the stuff and
Even here in the cool Pacific NW, found that the varnish wasn't much better
than Spar Varnish or Epithanes.

Of course, Your mileage may vary...

Not too long ago someone on one of these lists discussed a somewhat pricey but
highly recommended product for doing brightwork. I have searched my archives
and the archives of both list's messages and cannot locate. Could you please
send out again? I apologize for losing it in the first place.
