[IC27A] Boomvang

I am interested in equipping Barjoh with a rigid boomvang.  I am a cruiser and 
not interested in something high tech and cost a lot.  I am mainly interested 
in alleviating the need for a topping lift.  I noted the C27 on the cover of 
the Nov. 2009 Mainsheet.  Is that what they call a boomkicker?  Any 
suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated.
 
 By the way, the boat on the cover of the Nov Mainsheet is a very nice looking 
27.  Congrats to its owner.
