There is a guy in Salt Lake City that is selling a whole set of sails for a 27
but they are late 70's except for a hank on 155 genoa that he says has had very
little use, only used several times it is a Lee Sail. He wants $700.00 for it.
Go to kslclassifieds .com for the info

Wow. Those are good prices. What do they want for a 150 Genoa with roller
furling?

I am going to buy a new main for my 81 C27 before spring rolls around and while
the special prices are on. Any suggestions on who makes a good main for a
reasonable price. I think North Sails are rinning around $700.00 but I have
seen some sailmakers selling them for around $600.00 Am I better off going with
a known sailmaker? Any input would be appreciated.

oops.

Okay as I was saying.

1. try to sell them on ebay, your local marina, yc.
2. if they have some life left sell them to a used sailboat parts store such as
bacon's in annapolis.
3. some people use old sails to make stuff such as duffle bags, jackets, etc.
if you are industrious. (resails, inc)
4. you could have them dry cleaned, repaired, and refurbished. They will never
be racing quality again, but might be nice to have a second set. (sailcare,
inc.)

I have a older main and and jib that are not being used. They may not be in the
best of shape. Does anyone know if there is a market for old sails?
