Wing Tip came with a 3 instrument NAVPOD and I changed it out for the 4
instrument pod and when that was not enough I hung a custom 5 POD.

Not visible is a Fish finder on the bulk head (also original).

One of my more harrowing moments sailing occurred when our son came up out
of the cabin and killed (turned - off) the loran just as lighting stuck
behind us, we started crossing shipping channels on SF Bay, followed by
being whited out moments later. Turns out all the DR practice I'd done came
in very handy.

Based on stuff getting knocked I tend not to put the instruments I need
anywhere but at the wheel. The nav station below has position readout on the
DSC VHF, ship clock & barometer but that's it.

Subject: [IC27A] Electronics mounting at the wheel helm

Hi all,
Need more advice from you seasoned skippers. The boat I recently purchased
has a through-hull depth-sounding transducer but no depth gauge. I've found
one at a local boat electronics store that works with the transducer when
powered. I think I can find a bracket to mount it on the guard above the
binnacle compass. Need some wisdom on running the wires from there to the
fuze box and transducer. Will I have to drill a hole in the pedestal or is
there another way?
Thanks!
Paul
