The origional Honda four stroke motors with Blue and yellow cowlings (7.5 and 10 hp) are what I'm theorizing are the "Clasics". My theory is based on some photos in the photo section of this website which shows one on a Catalina 27. I've looked at the photos a bunch of times and can't see ant transom modifications. I'm hoping this is true as I've just purchased a '77 with an old Johnson sailmaster 2 stroke. I'm in the process of negotiating a deal on an older Honda 10hp and if I can help it I don't want to modify the transom.
