I have the Schaefer stantion blocks and love them. They keep the lines
off the deck and outside of the life line stantions and away from being in
the way.

I was considering changing to the stanchions that go out 10 degrees because
of the limited room on the sides, has anyone done this? What are the pros
and cons?
I'm also going to put fairleads on the starboard stanchions for the
furling line so that I'm not always having it roll under my feet when I'm
trying
to get up on deck. I saw it done on another C27 online and thought it was a
great idea and a simple fix to something that is always a subtle
annoyance. The boat I saw had the fairleads on the outside but I wouldn't do
that, I
just want to keep the line off the deck. Any thoughts?
