'92 is an interesting number for them to use. IC27/270A history doesn't
start until C270 hull #3 a '93. The drawings I have access to range from
August of '92 to July of '93 but '92 could be the year the molds were
created and '93 the first production.  #3 might be that first production
boat.

My 1984 is hull number 5641. I thought there were about 7000 hulls produced.
As per Catalina web site hull 6000 was built in 1985 and the 270 replaced
the 27 in 1992.
