I've got two Nicro Day and Night solar vent, one on each boat.  The older
one is least 10 years old, and still going strong.  It's on it's 4th or 5th
replacemnt battery from Radio Shack.    I have two of the stainless ones. I
broke a plastic one the first year.

I installed a Nicro solar vent over a decade ago and have replaced the battery
a couple of times.  It has worked flawlessly.
