I cleaned and waxed our C27last spring. I bought a variable speed rotary
sander/polisher from HarborFereight for about $39.95, used a rubbing compound,
I believe it was 3M and then follored up with a 3M cleaner wax buffedon. The
most important thing is to not let the buffer burnthroughthe gel coat which
means keep it moving and don't stay in one place. I put the compoujnd on and
let it dry for about 2 minutes then didthe buffing. Do a small area at a time
sort of a 3' x 3' area. You can stand back and look at it from an angle and see
what you are doing. I doubt if mine had ever been  done and it is a 1988 so it
was pretty dull. I had asked the guys in the yard about using Turtle Wax paste
and they said it would not hold up so went with the better stuff. I think  I
have seen the 3M cleaner wax in WaLMart.

Anyone have any thoughts they'd like to share on how to clean and wax the C27
hull, and what products you'd suggest? I'm entering my 4th season as owner of
Eos, and have never cleaned or waxed the hull. There are brown rust stains
(ubiquitous from the Chesapeake environs) I'd like to remove, and undoubtedly
some oxidation that could use buffing. I'm thinking of getting an orbital
random buffer and pads to do the buffing/waxing job, and I could use some tips.
