I'm about to replace the gasket on my leaky 1989 Bomar hatch. I see in the catalog that they sell a tube of some sort of glue along with the gasket. Anyone know what the glue is to be used for? Do you glue in the entire length of gasket? (I would hope not.) Or is it just to connect the two ends where they meet? Also, I'm wondering if I really need to pay West Marine prices for the glue, or if ordinary rubber cement will work. Thanks for your help.
