I'm about to replace the leaky gasket on my 1989 Bomar hatch. I see in the WM catalog that they also sell a "special glue" along with the gasket. What is this used for? Is it to be applied to the entire length of gasket (seems unlikely), or just to the ends to form a permanent joint? Also, do I really need to pay WM prices for this glue or will ordinary rubber cement do the job? Thanks.
