Hi Larry,

Sound observation. On most boats, security is nigh impossible to achieve. But 
for insurance purposes, we have to make the effort. Otherwise it's like leaving 
your car running while you go into a 7-11.

BTW, no such think as an ex-New Yorker...just like there are no ex-Marines or 
former Eagle Scouts<G>.

I'll assume there are no potential thieves out there and give you a hint about 
how worthless most padlocks are. If you take two large screwdrivers, insert 
them at opposing 45 degree angles through the shackle, and quickly jerk them to 
the opposite position, you will pull out the shackle of all but the very best 
locks. Don't ask me how I know.
