I've mentioned this before. There  was a fellow that came to the boatyard w/
a Cat 27, wanted the rig and half the keel removed. He wasn't a sailor, just
liked the way the boat looked and was going to cruse the Tom Bigby water way
as a trawler.

Funny, there's a MacGregor down the dock from me. Two years ago he snagged
some shrouds on a powerboat's anchor at dock and dismasted. That didn't stop
him from using his boat for the rest of the season, sans mast, thanks to the
huge 40-something horsepower motor hanging off the back. That was rather
entertaining.
