I was thinking this over last night. A pennant at the bottom would cause the 
centre of effort to move up vertically; not good; now i am thinking to use a 
rod pennant/extension at the upper end. i can't see a rod wrapping around the 
stay. i am goinn to try this . will report how it works.//leroy
