In my opinion guys (for what it is worth) The minimal cost of the extra 10' of 
hose and clamps it is a good idea to run a hose strictly dedicated to the 
electric pump. Even better with a auto switch .You can thread the hose into the 
rear hatch and let it run out near the center scupper and not even have to do 
any drilling!

I installed an electric bilge pump to the end of the existing maunual pump 
tubing and it works fine. The auto bilge pump will pump through the manual pump 
and you can still use te manual pump if needed.
