All horses jump, to some extent, but if he was talking competitive or 
excelling at jumping, he's probably right.

For an Icelandic jumper, I'd go with a three-gaited Icelandic.

I wouldn't really expect gaited horses to be able to

They don't have the hind end conformation that makes a really good jumper. 
And some aren't able to bascule very well; hence they are not *known* as 
jumpers.
