I don't think the lunge line would encourage gaiting. I could be wrong though. That's sort of why I had Dagur going down a straight track, though we did slow on corners...but his gait became mixed at those points. No...I believe a straight track would be ideal. How do in-hand competitions work? I've never been to one or seen one? This might be a good way to 'evaluate' youngsters too. No one is under saddle and everyone is barefoot. Humans haven't had a chance to fiddle with what comes (or should come) naturally. Wanda
