I remembered one thing he said about pony vs. horse. 
He said the Icelandic horse is a horse, even though
*some* are pony size, they have more of a horse bone
structure and muscle system, and they are strong like
a horse.

I was taking notes, so this is the gist of it.
Honestly, I never could get a satisfactory answer
about why they insist they are horses, that is
probably because they are ponies, awsome little strong
ponies, strong like a PONY, unless they insist on
making them into skinny little refined hackney type
ponies, then they might not be so strong.
