i'm just real disappointed you guys dont know your horse colors
better... here is a rule of thumb tutorial:

Like Mary Kay, you have to use the basic parameters for "Color me
Beautiful".There are 4 basic color groups for people and horses:

1. winter
2.Spring
3. Summer
4. Autumn

Winters need jewel tones, vibrant yellow, ruby red, sapphire blue,
emerald green. Only winters should wear stark white or pure black.

Spring is just the same as winter but pastel

summer is the same as autumn but pastel

Autumn is what you would imagine, rust, orange, cream, brown.

A bay horse looks great in rust and orange. A grey or blue roan horse
looks best in lavendar, baby blue, pink. A cream horse like SIna
looks good in burgundy, yes, but you have to be careful and select a
shade that has more orange red in it than blue red. Solon would look
good in a bright canary yellow or a vivid red with lots of blue
undertones.

which isnt to say a sorrel horse cannot wear jewel tones. Some
sorrels have a lot of undertones so they can wear the non cream based
colors. You have to take swaths of material and drape the horse so
that only the face and shoulders show to get a real good idea of what
colors are best.

suilver tack is best for winter and spring and gold tack is best for
autumn and summer.

I cant believe you guys! get a grip!
