No, Malin, I don't buy it. I don't buy it at all. You can't play it both ways. If you (as a country) have been eliminating the bucking/spooky/trotty/whatever horses by eating them for years, then why would they still be in the gene pool? That just doesn't add up. Horses don't buck just because it's in the genes - certainly it would be a tiny, tiny percentage if any at all. Horses buck (or act out in other ways) because they are in pain, fearful or confused. Maybe if the young horses in Iceland had more contact with humans when they were young, the "gene pool" would mysteriously improve. Karen Thomas [EMAIL PROTECTED]
