ANthropomorphism is something I have real bad. It means that I
imprint my human emotions on my horses and pets. But is it always
bad? Can't it be called "empathy"??

i was thinking of the sparklers. For some reason I thought of a
thing I saw on a home video show, a greased pig contest. It was all
just fun and games and everyone having a ball and so innocent and
not hurting anything! right? But what about the pigs terror, their
screaming, their flailing around to get free and then surely it had
to at least bruise them when slammed into a barrel, a dark barrel,
head first while the crowd laughed and cheered and the muddy kids
laughed and raised their arms in victory.

I am far from a "PETA type" as some call them. FARRRRR from it
believe me. But my heart hurt watching those pigs, pigs are so
intelligent and feeling. So perceptive. They have a sense of
humor, you know. Like horses.

Sparklers are fire, and smoke, and one thing horses instictively
fear is fire.

I just wish people would think more of animals feelings when they do
things. Like I said before, and still cant remember who said it...
people throw rocks at frogs in jest but the frogs are not in jest
they are in earnest.

And yes I think its ok to wear fur and leather and eat meat. In
fact, the quicker you kill it the better. For some reason seeing a
horse in fear and anxiousness and longing just kills me worse than
the thought of one dropping over dead.

If you've ever had a horse suffer and die in your arms, then you
know, it would be way better for them to hurry and die and not go on
and on. afraid.

And just because a horse is obedient does not mean it is not
afraid. I hate to think of a horse being afraid. Or alone. Or
worried. I just do...

Maybe the horses that are used to the sparklers could just keep
doing it. and no more would have to do it.

I know when the sparkles fall on your bare skin there is an
uncomfortable ping sensation. But i know the worst of it is the
fire and smoke, to a horse.

jmo!!
