Anneliese's farm sits between two country roads in rural KY. She found Connie at the back gate of one of her pastures, on a road that becomes not much more than a driveway after her gate. No one claimed her, and based on how she acted, we suspect she was dumped there too - probably by a hunter who didn't know what a treasure he had. I didn't even tell this part to Anneliese, but when I drove the truck around to the back gate on the main road to get the trailer hitched to come home, Connie started shivering in the truck as we started up the hill to that gate - by that time, Cary and I knew we wanted to take her home. I honestly think she knew where we were going - is it possible she thought she was going to be dumped again? I had her micro-chipped today.
