We have feral peacocks around here and see chicks most every year. I do not hear the males until mating season starts and that is usually in March sometime. I love it because it means spring is in the air. I have seen peacocks display to the wild turkeys and vice versa, it is pretty funny. The males loose their tail feathers in late summer and we can pick up lots of them. Ann Bodega, CA
