Hobo spiders have become a real problem in our area. I was bit 5 times once while asleep. Luckily they typically don't release their venom in a defensive attack but save it for hunting. Even though my bites were very small due to no venom released maybe just what was on the fangs, they were agony for months, right at my waistband so constantly aggravated. They took about 6 months to heal. I have tiny yet deep scars from them. But I was lucky those who get a dose of venom, yow! We've had barn swallows in our shop the last couple of years.
