also, just in case you havent noticed... things seem to start and spread in fla with horses! I think because of the huge horse industry/business/thoroughbred thing, horses shipping in and out daily etc. Like the herpevirus recently etc. And I have personally had my horses get ill with something sweeping thru the area like wildfire, never really diagnosed. My horses had it one time and my Stonewall could not exert himself for 6 months afterward withough hacking til he lost his breath and he was only a 2 year old and i thought he had ruined lungs forever. I think it must have been a herpes virus because several foals at the barn we were at were stillborn the next spring.
anyway my point, if things are going around here, watch out in your area! Florida horses come in every day, also haulers come to fla everyday, pick up horses, drop them off say, texas, then go to say, missouri and pick up YOUR horse in the same trailer. just something to watch out for!
