I had never looked at the hard pace diagrams in that book for some reason. I think you are right - those illustrations do look the same. I know there were some known misprints in the book, and I guess this is one. I think those illustrations are step-pace. If it were hard pace, the lateral pairs would be more parallel in all the phases. Karen Thomas, NC
