I guess that's why Lee Ziegler's book - mainly on the subject of gaits - is
245 pages long!  I know it's why I make so many references to it.  I don't
know of a single other source that has so much detailed information in one
place - describing all the complexities of gait, from feel from the saddle,
to all the appearance characteristics (head nod or lack of, tail waves,
hollowness of the back, etc.), to the horse's conformation, to tack, to
rider's position, to saddle fit to bits/bitless to hard-wiring...
