Sorry you took offense - I was trying to make a bit of a joke which is why I
put the smiles behind it - I thought Susan might explain.    

I totally agree that the Icelandics have a huge range of gait and have
recognized it for the past 25 years or so.  I find that lots of Icelandics,
and other gaited breeds I have written, will have slight changes in gait as
the seat of the rider or terrain etc changes.  

I feel like I have been trying to take part in this discussion and apologize
to anyone who felt that I was being snitty and disrespectful as there was no
intent.
