This is very true, it does scare some horses and it is the responsibility of 
the gaited horse owners to be aware of this and try not to scare other 
horses.

I remember that, many years ago, we had people on the list who 
laughed at other horse owners when their horses worried about the sound.   

That's not the way to be;  It is rude and inconsiderate.   

If you understand horses and think about it from the horse's point of view, 
it sounds like horses are stampeding, like something is wrong, and it's 
inborn for horses to listen to the herd.
