Hi Judy,
I would get straightness through slight rotation of my body in either
direction and be connected to both reins so that it helps the horse maintain
the connection with the hind legs, but then I am not into disengaging the
hindquarters so there is just a different belief system.  I also don't want
a horse to be tipping the nose and coming behind the vertical so I guess we
are just on different pages in terms of training.
