You had he and Flekka together before she came here, right? Was he shorter than her? I measure her right on 13.0, maybe 12.3 1/2. He's an inch or two shorter than Flekka? Isak has Daddy's color, Daddy's head, Mama's spots...well, and about everything from Mama. Except for Grandpa's Hlynur's blue eye. Oh! Speaking of genetics...there's a case where the eye didn't come from either parent, but must have been carried recessively from gramps thru mamma, I guess linked to the pinto coloring. Actually, only about half of that eye is blue - it's really a big fleck. I envision Isak being about Flekka's height, maybe 13H, while his half-siblings from the same year are looking more 13.1-13.3-ish. We'll see. Isak was "hormonally precocious" so it's crossed my mind that gelding him might make him have a growth spurt yet. He has taken a spurt lately, but we'll have to wait and see if he catches up. I suspect he's just taking after mom's family and will be sort of short. Karen Thomas, NC
