Your bear story is much better than mine. A mama bear and three cubs broke into two houses across the street from my cabin at Lake Tahoe. They made a mess of one house that was unoccupied and then got in the other where a family was staying in the house and scared them to death. Our handyman was called to help repair the next day and decided to check our cabin. The bears had shredded parts of the door, removed the frame around the door's window and were just a light tap away from getting it. Something stopped them and I am very lucky. The new door with three dead bolts and very thick should be in this week. Everyone got bear boxes for the garbage and now they are breaking into the houses. I heard that they do it if they can see the refrigerator and we had left the shade up and it was in full view. Ann
