I guess it's nice to have that much for rotating, but over the years, we've
never really needed more than 1 acre per horse, even with the big horses.
If you have too much pasture, it takes more management - a lot of mowing,
etc.  The answer to that is OBVIOUSLY...buy more horses!


BTW, I'm sure these rules vary greatly by geography...I've heard that in
some parts of the western USA, you'd need 30 acres to support ONE horse!
